CARDIAC CYCLE TUTORIAL

This is the first blog of cardiology section.I am starting with the most basic but the most powerful concept in cardiology.It is called the cardiac cycle( i will be posting other topics in my subsequent blogs)

                        Cardiac cycle is one of the most basic concepts of cardiology.It is the basis for all cardiology work up.Its importance can be noted in a number of cardiac pathologies wherein the murmurs are timed according to two components of cardiac cycle 1.SYSTOLE and 2.DIASTOLE (remember the timing of murmurs--------------systolic,diastolic which are further subdivided into categories like early, mid , late etc.This timing is crucial for reaching a conclusive diagnosis.I will elaborate this in my subsequent blogs but to understand them you have to master the cardiac cycle.)
